There's Gold in them there "Blogging Hills"

Are you Blogging yet? If you have landed on this page then you are at least curious as to what blogging is all about. Blogging is the fastest growing source of free informaton on the net today. In 2005, American workers spent the equivalent of 551,000 years reading blogs online. (Source: October 2005 issue of Ad Age)

Blogging is still new technology and is the absolute perfect opportunity to start a new business.

Up until just a few months ago, I probably was the only person on the planet (slight exageration) that didn't know what the heck a blog was. I was reading references to blogging everywhere, but when I tried to source it's meaning, I was still confused.

The definition of a blog is really quite simple: A blog (derived from the term "web log") is basically a website where your record your thoughts and messages.

Ok, but this explanation really didn't help me, I still had questions, how did you create a blog?, how did you find the blogs?, how did I get my hands on one? Eurika, one day a good friend e-mailed me that he had started his own blog about raising seeing-eye dogs. It didn't take me long to set up my first blog and post to it. You are here now.

The great thing about blogs are that they are free and they are very easy to set up, it takes less than 5 minutes. The templates are provided for you and you just add the content. There is no expensive software to buy and you can get fee traffic to your sight. You can upload images and now you can add sound to really personalize your blog.

If you want to start a business with your blog, I have a great tip that I recently came across and will share with you. You should target a subject, lets take the example of growing roses. Go to goggle search: http://www.google.com and type in:
+blog+"growing roses" (only 12 matches for this one) but it gives me the list of blogs on the subject, now create a file in your favourites to bookmark and place the best blogs. You now have a resource to check out the competition, analyze their keywords and you can see what's new for your chosen subject.

Ok, you've set up your first blog, now what to do with it. I launched my site, but how to get visitors to come in droves. I grappled with this question for several weeks, I am not a techie, I am not a specialist in SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and then I came across a must have resource.

It is a newly released, hot-selling e-book that literlly takes you by the hand and shows you how to gain ranking in the major search engines. I personally own this e-book and it will take you by the hand and walk you thru the abc's of becoming a successful blogger. The book is thin, only 40 + pages but the info is very current and relevant for now.

If you are thinking of a blogging business for sometime in the far future, then this book is probably not for you. I say that, because in this internet world things change fast and the smart people that get in at the beginning of the swell will be able to take advantage of the blogging revolution and may make some decent dollars doing it.

Go here if you want to see what all of the fuss is about:

This e-book has been personally endorsed by the likes of Michael Green and Mark Hendricks.

I hope that the above information has been of value to you and that you will stop back once and awhile. Feel free to post your comments.

Thank you for your valuable time, I will leave you with this thought;

Doubt can only be removed by Action!
