Global Village has been providing nutritious food to the world's poor for more than 15 years now. Because of the vast infrastructure that is in place they were able to mobilize immediately. On Thursday of last week, over 1 Million was shipped to Haiti via the Bahamas Red Cross in partnership with the Haitian Red Cross.
Until now, food that has been provided has been privately funded by the founder of Global Village, but now Yank Barry, Muhammad Ali and Gary US Bonds are reaching out to the public for help. The need is overwhelming but Global Village is committed to provide ongoing food, medical supplies, and whatever the Red Cross asks of them.
